Very well, I shall speak to you of website.
From a "mission statement" point of view, this website is here because there are a few things that I've been working on which I feel need collating. Drawings, info on my open source project, articles which require more than the 140 characters that Twitter allow one, etc.
Also, it is a very nice domain and I feel it should have something worthwhile on it.
From a technical point of view, the site is running on the DryBread framework, which I develop as part of my day job, and managed by the Strawbear Content Management System, which, again, I develop as part of my day job. By using the systems I build, it allows me chance to find out which areas are and are not user-friendly; something which developers are usually not in the best position to see.
Without wanting to inflame any holy wars, I must also mention that the site is sat on a LAMP server [Fedora 8, Apache 2, MySQL 5, PHP 5], which I personally find to be a thing of beauty.
