Current shenanigans

17th July 2009

Filed in Website

As you may have noticed, things are still quiet on the site, so I thought I should drop a note about some of the things currently stealing precious time from the site:

Platform 9

York Stars, the theatre company I hang around and cause a general nuisance within, are putting on the premiere of Dennis Westgate's new musical Platform 9, revolving around a day in the life of a 1950s railway platform. Currently running now (16th - 18th July) and tickets are still available. For more info, see:

Drawing

Due to the real world (which scares me just a little), any spare time has been accounted for for the next couple of weeks. Adter that I am going to make a concerted effort to get some more drawings up, if only for my own benefit. Until then, you can find a guest comic about the nefarious Phantom Toilet Locker at

DJing

Carnage is still ongoing, with our sophomore night coming and going Thurday gone (11th July). I will post the setlist up here as before sometime in the next week when I turn my attention to the site again. Until then, have this:

Coding

Beyond the Strawbear / DryBread work I spend my workdays on, my little OS project will be resuming in the next couple of weeks and I am hoping for some kind of release in Autumn. Again, I will keep you posted.

The Final Sigh

Some people may be aware of The Final Sigh, the band I played bass for for a few years. Well, played is the operative word here, I'm afraid, and, in a mutual decision, this has fallen irrepairably to the wayside. The band is still continuing and will still be working on their second album, so keep an eye out at

OK, I think that's enough to chew over for the time being. For more  up-to-date news on what's stealing my life away one second at a time, you can always follow me on Twitter (@dajve)
