OK, so I can't verify this at the moment but it apparently the source is the BBC and we all know how reliable Auntie is…

No cows may be driven down the roadway between 10am and 7pm unless there is prior approval from the Commissioner of Police.

The actual source of this "fact" is the Dumb Laws website. Yes, that more than likely makes it one of those urban myths, Chinese whispers or just outright lie, but I have to admit it amused me and I have been playing way too much Mario Kart recently.

As a bonus, I misread the times originally as 10pm - 7am.
